Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. The father of her is Nigerian and Swiss and her mom is English. She was raised on a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age 14. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained an acting BA. While at school she appeared in numerous stage plays, such as the King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. In the years since, she's made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film of debut is the Woody Allen 2007 movie Cassandra's Dream. She starred opposite Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. The film's success has led her to be cast in Elisha as a one-off BBC Three drama West 10 LDN pilot. She then appeared in six episodes Trexx & Flipside playing the character of Ollie. In 2008 she landed Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe also played the title character in How to lose friends & betray people and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. She was also as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, composed by David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama series aired on The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. In May of 2013, it was revealed that Madekwe who had played a regular role in the two previous seasons, would be leaving the show after a guest-appearance in the premiere episode of the season's new episode. She played Tituba in the show Salem in 2014 until 2016. Madekwe was married to her long-time love, Iddo. They have worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also had a role alongside her in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with a huge family. Four of her older brothers were also in the family and included twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's brothers were all extremely athletic, and they played baseball as well as hockey during the winter as well as in the summer. Her childhood was spent in stadiums and played baseball. Ashley could never walk but she was able to dance. When she turned two-and-a-half she started Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley discovered her love for dancing at the age of. Ashley was a competitive dancer throughout the various categories until the time she graduated from high school. She competed in ballet, jazz, tap, pointe and acrobatics. Additionally, she was awarded the top awards for soloists in every important dance competitions such as International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, among others.
