Meagan Good's mom Tyra was in her teens working for Panorama City as a manager and father Leondis Leon Good, a policeman with the LAPD. She grew up with her three siblings within Canyon Country in California and began acting at the age of four. At the beginning of her career she was an extra for television shows such as Doogie Howser Amen or M.D. She was 13 when she made her debut in the film Friday. She first became famous in 1997 with her performance as Cisely batiste (a troubled teenage girl) in Eve's Bayou, for which she won two nominations and received her N.A.A.C.P. Image Award Nomination. Good had small roles in film and on television for a couple of years before shifting into roles that were more mature at the beginning of 2000s. Her Nickelodeon TV show Cousins in Skeeter featured her as Nina. The show ran from 1998-2001. In addition, she was cast in minor roles in the films House Party down to the final Minute as well as 3 Strikes. She played the role of Vanessa Scott in the sitcom My Wife and Kids in 2003. The following year, she starred in D.E.B.S which was an action-comedy film that was nominated for Best Actress at the Black Movie Awards in 2005. After that, she starred in a variety of films, including Cookout Venom Waist deep and The Love Guru. After a busy 2012 on T.V. She played Mya, a multi-star in Think Like a Man as well as Ms. Stevens for Dysfunctional friends. Killmer studied at Baylor University Waco Texas. She graduated with an B.F.A. in 2010. She earned an art degree. The first time she appeared on screen was 2010 with the webseries"If I Can Dream. Following her appearance in several local shows, Kara Killmer made her on-screen debut in 2010 on the pilot episode in Simon Fuller's Hulu series If I Can Dream. The series revolved around the group of people who first settled at the posh location of Hollywood California.
