Julia Fiona Roberts is the daughter of Betty Lou Bredemus, and Walter Grady Roberts. She was born on October 28, 1967, in Atlanta. Roberts belongs to the Robertses' fourth generation that live in the Atlanta area, starting by her grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. In the early years of his life the father of her mother became obsessed by acting. As a college pupil in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in several shows. He joined the military in 1953 and, while working in Biloxi Mississippi, was cast in the military's production, which featured Betty Lou Bredemus who was part of the air force. Eric Anthony was their first born. The couple was married in the year. In 1957, the couple quit the air force and Walter was enrolled in Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. Walter became a member of Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio after they moved their family from Atlanta to Georgia's Decatur in the year 1960. Walter and Betty Lou began producing a children's television program in Georgia, Decatur called Bum Bum and His Buddies. The production was funded by the couple their own. They also founded the Actors and Writers Workshop in the same year, which ran for 6 years. Lelisa Billingsley, also known as Lisa was born in 1965. Julia Billingsley followed in 1967.
